The crown made the most beautiful sound that anyone ever heard. You could hear the ringing for miles. It was so beautiful, that people wanted to grab the air. They never found the prince. He never got out of the room. But the sound he made filled everything up with beauty.

They are a fantastic group who really enjoy entertaining their fans. You definitely get that feeling in this photo. Just recently, I entered it into Nikon’s Cool Shot Contest. sharesef: VIM Half Page Ad Mockup1RBG on Flickr. After posting on V.I.M.’s Facebook page about how I can help in revamping their web site, one of its directors contacted me. He said that they are considering looking for a designer for future work. He asked if I could do some mock-ups of a half page ad that they had in the Daily News. So, at the moment, I am working on a few concepts. What is shown above, is my first idea, one that sort of follows the general feel of their ads and signage. I am planning on creating another that plays on the concept of going back to school. You can see I used a bit of that here but I want the next one to be more pronounced. Maybe a chalk board or is that too trite?

wburg-greenpoint-5 on Flickr. I had a quick shooting session in the area bordering Williamsburg and Greenpoint yesterday evening. I wanted to investigate the East River Waterfront because I really like the colors over there. It’s perfect for the afternoon/evening glow. Too bad I got there a bit late. It is an hour away from Parkchester but with how MTA trains are, it can take longer. I am interested in hosting a photo meet around here. Hopefully, I can get enough folks who are interested. A couple of friends and I walked around the Upper West Side yesterday and captured some wintery scenes of the area. I was surprised by the amount of ice present on Central Park’s paths.
